Terms and conditions of participationor the Promotion campaign "tadoº Cashback"
1. Responsible for the Campaign
The "tadoº Cashback" promotion (the "Promotion") is promoted by Panasonic Heating & Ventilation Air-conditioning Europe, a division of Panasonic Marketing Europe GmbH, whose registered address is Hagenauer Str. 43, 65203, Wiesbaden, Germany, represented by its managing director Hirokazu Yoshida, HRB 13178, AG Wiesbaden) ("Panasonic").
By participating in this promotion, participants accept these terms and conditions.
2. Promotion period
The promotion period runs from 1 October 2025 to 31 March 2026. Eligible heat pumps (as specified below) must be purchased or officially quoted AND registration must be completed within this period. The installation and submission of the invoice must be completed by 31 May 2026 (as specified below).
3. Conditions of participation
3.1. The Promotion is applicable to residents of the following countries: Germany, Netherlands and the United Kingdom (“Participating Countries”). Purchase and install a Panasonic Aquarea heat pump device (“Qualifying Product”) from an authorised installer in a Participating Country and receive a cashback (“Cashback Amount”) of EUR 500 in Germany and the Netherlands, or GBP 500 in the United Kingdom. For clarity, an “authorised installer” is a professional installer who has been officially certified or trained by Panasonic or its authorized partners to install Panasonic heat pumps and is recognized as such by Panasonic. Participants must ensure that the installation is carried out by such an authorised installer.
For Netherlands: an “authorised installer” in Netherlands is a professional installer who is specifically appointed by Panasonic Netherlands for this Promotion; participants must ensure that the installation is carried out by such an authorised installer; a list of authorised installers is available upon request at Panasonic Netherlands.
To be eligible, participants (“Participants”) must:
- be private individuals aged 18 or older;
- own a residential property in a Participating Country;
- be customers of tado° GmbH during the campaign period
- purchase and install a new and genuine Qualifying Product through an authorised installer (i.e. not used, not refurbished or recycled, not imported from outside the participating countries, not counterfeit or in any way infringing the intellectual property rights of the Panasonic Group) within the above-mentioned Promotion period;
- register the purchase on our Promotion page corresponding to the country of residence of the participant by 31 March 2026:
- upload valid purchase and installation documentation showing purchase and installation within the Promotion period as well as the serial number and installer details; and
- submit correct bank account information.
3.2. Applications relating to qualifying products purchased before or after the Promotion period will be considered invalid.
3.3. The Promotion is limited to the first 200 customers who applyduring the campaign period. The order of participation shall be strictly determined on a first-come, first-served basis by reference to the date and time Panasonic receives each customer’s valid cashback claim. The customer whose valid cashback claim is received first shall be assigned position 1 on the entitlement list; the customer whose valid cashback claim is received second shall be assigned position 2; and so on, up to position 200. Once 200 valid cashback claims have been received, any subsequent claims will not be eligible for the Promotion and the Promotion page will be closed.
3.4. The Promotion is limited to one claim per Qualifying Product. Commercial customers and resellers are excluded. Applications relating to qualifying products purchased or installed before or after the Promotion period will be considered invalid.
3.5. Panasonic will notify participants of successful registration and position within the 200-place limit. Panasonic's decision regarding the 200-place limit is final.
3.6. Payment Process: the Cashback Amount will be paid via bank transfer to the bank details communicated by participant during registration. Payment will be processed within 8 weeks after approval. There are no alternative payment methods available.
3.7. Returns or purchase contract cancellations void participants’ cashback entitlement.
3.8. Panasonic reserves the right to exclude participants from the Promotion and to withhold and reclaim the cashback for good cause if
a) the participant violates applicable law or these terms and conditions.
b) the participant provides false or misleading information in connection with their participation in the Promotion.
3.9. Panasonic reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all claims in order to protect itself from fraudulent, invalid or repetitive claims, including, but not limited to, proof from the participant that they did not return the qualifying product after the date of purchase. Claims for returned qualifying products, malicious or fraudulent claims will be declared invalid.
3.10. Panasonic is entitled to appoint an agency or contractor to carry out all or part of the Promotion on its behalf.
3.11. For Participants resident in Germany only, please note when applying for state funding under the Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings BEG/BAFA/KfW funding, any received cashback must be declared to state funding as it reduces the eligible cost basis for your heat pump subsidy.
4. Privacy and data protection
The personal data provided to Panasonic as part of this Promotion will be processed for the purpose of carrying out the Promotion in accordance with these terms and conditions. The data controller is Panasonic Marketing Europe GmbH. Data is processed for campaign administration. The types of data collected: salutation, first name and last name, postal address, country of residence and e-mail address, the Qualifying Product, date and place of purchase of the Qualifying Product and, in case of cashback payment, the relevant bank account information. The purpose of performance of the promotion may require that personal data is shared with tado GmbH, Sapporobogen 6-8, 80637 Munich, Germany. Personal data of the Participant will neither be passed on to third parties nor made available to them for use without their consent. An exception is made for agencies which have been commissioned to carry out the Promotion, and which will collect, store and use the data for the purpose of carrying out the Promotion on behalf of Panasonic. Such agencies comply with GDPR and have the necessary contractual arrangements and security measures in place as agreed with Panasonic. Legal basis is contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Data will be stored for 3 years after campaign completion unless mandatory legal requirement requires a longer storage. In accordance with GDPR you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. Contact us at Data_Protection@eu.panasonic.com for privacy queries. In addition, the data will also be used to evaluate the campaign reach which is based on legitimate interest, and participants may object to this contact at any time.
5. General
5.1. The cashback granted hereunder is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash, credit or product alternative will be offered. Panasonic reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time at its sole discretion and to terminate, suspend, change, modify, revoke or cancel the Promotion in whole or in part at any time without prior notice. This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions.
5.2. Claims made by fax, telephone, email or post will not be accepted. Illegible, incomplete or altered claim forms or surveys will be deemed void, as will claim forms not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions
5.3. Technical registration issues are beyond Panasonic’s liability.
5.4. Panasonic reserves the right to, and in its sole discretion, amend these terms and conditions at any time and to amend or withdraw this Promotion at any time.
5.5. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Germany, to the exclusion of international conflict law, in particular the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The courts of Wiesbaden, Germany shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claims arising out of this Promotion or in connection to it. However, mandatory local law provisions of the state in which your habitual residence or registered office is situated remain unaffected and will prevail in case of a conflict with German law provisions.
